Tirupati Balaji temple or Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is
positioned on the hill top of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh. Lord Sri
Venkateswara, who is also known to be Balaji and Govinda, is the powerful deity
of the sacred Tirumala Temple where people throng in lakhs. The Tirumala hill
shrine counts up to seven hills namely Neeladri, Seshadri, Anjanadri,
Garudadri, Narayanadri Vrishabhadri, and Venkatadri. The temple of Tirumala is
situated on the seventh hill called Venkatadri, hence the name the Temple of
Seven Hills.
